Hey family, friends & digital followers!

Sorry I have not been posting on my site for a while. Been busy working and being with Jen and Teo.

But…. I did want to stop in and invite you to…

Donate to Help me Celebrate 38!

My 38th birthday is coming up on January 17th and while presents are nice, solidarity is the best gift I could get (except for maybe the end to all forms of social injustice, we gonna get there)!

In the spirit of solidarity I’m asking folks to  consider donating to two of my favorite organizations here in Philly.

Philadelphia Student Union

The Philadelphia Student Union exists to build the power of young people to demand a high quality education in the Philadelphia public school system. They are a youth led organization and that seeks to make positive changes in the short term by learning how to organize to build power. They also work toward becoming life-long learners and leaders who can bring diverse groups of people together to address the problems that our communities face (From the PSU website). I’ve been a proud donor to PSU since we moved down to the area last year.

If you donate to PSU by February 14th  the Cahn Funds for Social Change will match your donation!

Caucus of Working Educators

CWElogo-long

The Caucus of Working Educators, or WE, works to defend and transform public education in Philadelphia.  As a caucus within the PFT, they seek to support and energize our union as well as work alongside the students, families, and communities of Philadelphia. They have a critical union election coming up and they can use all the support they can get. I’m proud to say that I’m an ally member of WE who stands along side them in the fight for a more just school system for everyone.

If you want to support WE go here: https://workingeducators.nationbuilder.com/support_the_campaign

Okay, so don’t be shy. $5, $10, $20, or Powerball winnings would be greatly appreciated.

In solidarity!
