Do you need to start writing but don’t know where to begin? Feeling paralyzed by imagined judgmental readers? Having trouble making time to fit writing into your life? This workshop will offer practical strategies for moving forward with your writing, including organizing your time, becoming unstuck in your writing, overcoming perfectionism, and dealing with procrastination.

Karen Starr, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who conducts writing and dissertation consultations.

SUMMER DISSERTATION GROUP

This eight week summer group will help students become more aware of the issues underlying their difficulty in completing their dissertation.  Subsequently, this awareness can help clarify undermining behaviors, identify techniques and strategies to overcome stagnation and foster accountability and motivation.[gview file=”http://opencuny.org/healthdsc/files/2014/08/SCS-Request-for-Services-form-Rev-1-2014.pdf”]

For both of these, you must be a currently registered GC student to participate.  Sign up in room 6422 (bring your GC I.D. with you with current validation sticker).  The form has also been attached for your convenience.
