To provide a forum for interdisciplinary interactions (sharing work; attending events; preparing conference papers) relating to scholarly and professional pursuits in Middle Eastern Studies. Goals and Objectives 1. Encouraging interaction among Graduate Center Masters and PhD Students whose research or interests concern the Arab world and studies of Middle East/North Africa. 2. To share information about, and support preparation for, field conferences (MESA, WOCMES, etc). 3. To organize group outings to Middle East cultural/academic events inside the Graduate Center and around New York City. 4. Collect relevant books, music, language learning aids, etc. for common use not available in the GC library.
