The purpose of Collective of Critical Transport Scholars (CCTS) shall be to present and explore critical and radical approaches to transportation and mobilities research. We see the need for critical approaches in these disciplines because most existing paradigms approach transport and mobility from an apolitical and uncritical perspective. By studying these phenomena through a critical lens we hope to arrive at better conclusions and solutions to pressing problems. As a collective we promote interdisciplinary approaches to this research and we plan to engage with interested students across departments at the Graduate Center and across campuses of the City University of New York.
