Critical Social/Personality Psychology has grown out of a long tradition of locally, critically, and politically engaged scholarship – a tradition embedded in the storied history of social psychology as social action, and in the activist ethos of New York City. We are a community of scholars whose work is rooted in a multiplicity of epistemological discourses, methodological tools, and interdisciplinary membranes that nourish human agency and ethical action.
