The Free University of NYC was founded on May Day (May 1, 2012) as part of calls for a citywide General Strike. The Free University was held that morning in Madison Square Park from 10am to 2pm. At 3pm Free University participants joined up with marchers coming from Bryant Park and we marched together to Union Square for the annual labor-sponsored rally and march down to Wall Street.
