Mahongwe/Ikota language sessions

Several graduate students have been meeting with a speaker of Mahongwe/Ikota, a highly endangered Bantu language of Gabon, to begin documentation and description of the language.

Spring 2011 Workshop on Language Documentation

Prof. Daniel Kaufman has been holding a weekly workshop which is free and open to all in Spring 2011 at the CUNY Graduate Center. This workshop covers language documentation and description. It meets from 5pm – 7pm in room 7102 on the following Thursdays: Feb.3, Feb.10, Feb.24, Mar.3, Mar.17, Mar.24, Apr.7. , Apr 14, Apr. 21, May 15.
