Electronic Privacy Workshop

As Officer Library and Technology, I have been asked about digital privacy by many of you and in light of the increasing tendencies of the new presidential administration, these concerns have only heightened.

So, Wednesday February 8th (2/08) starting at 7 PM in 5414 there will be an introductory workshop into some of the basic tools to safeguard one’s data and communications. We will focus primarily on the following things:

1) TOR (safer internet browsing)

2) VPN (virtual private networks)

3) PGP (text encryption)

4) Some other forms of safeguarding data and such

Bringing a laptop will be useful so you can try out these programs at your own leisure
