Thought Club is an organization sponsored by the Doctoral Students’ Council (DSC) of the Graduate School of the Graduate School and University Center (Graduate Center). Thought Club’s primary purpose is to create a space in which students can discuss the often-abstruse scholarship that provides a groundwork for much thought throughout the Humanities, Sciences, and Social Sciences. Particular attention will be given to philosophical and theoretical texts, especially those referenced across many disciplines of academic study. Given both the contentious and scholarly natures of much theoretical study, Thought Club necessarily fosters debate and argumentation among members within an academic framework.
