Please remember that on June 1st 2015, our old email boxes (@gc.cuny.edu) will be deleted, including any emails and other data in those accounts. However, email sent to @gc.cuny.edu accounts will still be redirected to your new @gradcenter.cuny.edu accounts. Nevertheless, we must act now to transfer our old emails and contacts to the new accounts, or at the latest by May 31st 2015.

Here are some ways in which you can transfer emails on your old accounts to the new account:

1. Connect your @gradcenter.cuny.edu account to your @gc.cuny.edu account

A. Log into your Office 365 account from any web-browser.
B. Click on the Settings gear on the top right hand corner (the one that looks like a wheel).

C. Click Options, and then click ‘Connected Accounts’ on the left-hand menu.

D. Click on the plus sign to connect a new account.

E. Enter your @gc.cuny.edu email address and password, and click ‘ok’ to finish up. Any emails on your @gc.cuny.edu accounts should now transfer to the @gradcenter.cuny.edu account.

2. If you use the Outlook app on your desktop, use Outlook data files (.pst) to migrate your email and contacts

A. Export the information from that account into an Outlook Data File (.pst).

B. Import the Outlook Data File (.pst) into your new email account.

Don’t know how to export and import .pst files? See here for more details.

3. If you use the Mac Mail app (the native email app on Macs), simply add your new @gradcenter.cuny.edu account as a new account on the app, select all emails from your @gc.cuny.edu account on the app, and drag to the @gradcenter.cuny.edu inbox.
