Here are directions from the Interlibrary Loan office of the GC library regarding the transition to the new student email addresses. This is a direct excerpt from an email they sent to all students who have an @gc.cuny.edu email address for interlibrary loan notifications. Please direct all questions about this to the ILL office at the library (contact info at the bottom):
Dear ILL user,
We are writing to you because you have an @gc.cuny.edu email on as your contact email address for interlibrary loan notifications.
If you are a student at the GC, please note that student email addresses are changing. They will now be @gradcenter.cuny.edu, rather than @gc.cuny.edu.
For more information, please see http://www.gc.cuny.edu/About-the-GC/Resources-Services/Information-Technology/IT-Alerts-Announcements/Detail?id=28400.
This means that after February 17th, you will no longer receive email messages from ILL to the @gc.cuny.edu address– about items that are available, overdue, etc. If you have configured your @gc.cuny.edu email to be forwarded to another email address, this will also cease to work.
So, please change your contact email address for interlibrary loan notifications, either to your new @gradcenter.cuny.edu or to a non-GC email address. To do this, login to your ILL account, and go to Tools>Change Account Information.
We also suggest that you stop by the Circulation Desk to verify that they have your current email address.
Stay tuned for more details in a library blog post to come next week about how this change affects our databases and best practices for the transition in our e-resources.
Thank you,
Interlibrary Loan
