Teaching and Projects

Leave a comment on paragraph 1 0 I am currently teaching Introduction to Labor Studies at Queens College. You can see my course syllabus here: http://lifeandlabor.wordpress.com/

Leave a comment on paragraph 2 0 I am also an Instructional Technology Fellow at Macaulay Honors College, although my primary ITF work takes place at Hunter College, where I consult with faculty about digital projects and pedagogy and work with students to design and implement digital scholarship. I often teach workshops on software applications, web publishing platforms, and other digital tools. Before I was an ITF, I was a Writing Fellow at LaGuardia Community College. I loved working with faculty and students there. We even made a short, online documentary about our work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=We6CvBOkHDE Working at LaGuardia and with community college students fundamentally shaped my desire to be in a classroom and to “make things” with students.

Leave a comment on paragraph 3 0 I’ve also been busy coordinating a Center for Humanities Seminar for the past several years. You can see an archive of our work here: http://centerforthehumanities.org/seminars/life-things-big-data

Leave a comment on paragraph 4 0 And, in the Fall of 2013, I will be working with the Film Studies Working Group to discuss data, performance, and methods in the social sciences: http://filmseminar.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
