I’ve been reading the classic Climate, History and the Modern World by H.H. Lamb, and really enjoying the take on how changing climate has influenced history.
It is also quite a comprehensive look at climate change over the last 2000+ years, including proxy records from Europe, Asia, North and South America and beyond. I’m not done with it – I’ve been reading it as an antidote for writer’s block and sleeplessness (and that’s not a knock on the book – I’ve simply not been sleeping much, since it’s thesis time!).
