About me
My research focuses primarily in the areas of: prisoner reentry, mass incarceration, race, gender, citizenship, community, space, restorative justice, alternatives to incarceration, and prison abolition.
My dissertation work focused on how men and women coming home from prison navigated and negotiated this process with diminished legal, social, economic, and political rights. In addition, my work tries to understand how this population understands their own identity as citizens because of the role civil death plays on their post-incarceration experience.
