James Christopher Head has been awarded the 2019 Distinguished Dissertation in Qualitative Inquiry Award sponsored by Division 5 of the American Psychological Association.

His dissertation, The Narration of Conflicting Accountabilities in the Era of High-Stakes Teacher Evaluations, introduces a multi-contextual approach to narrative analysis and reflects the work he did with Joshua W. Clegg, Deborah Tolman, Jason Van Ora, Colette Daiute, and Michelle Fine while he was a doctoral student in the Critical Social/Personality Psychology Program at the CUNY Graduate Center.
