The 2012 ESA Conference, “Cripples, Idiots, Lepers, and Freaks: Extraordinary Bodies / Extraordinary Minds,” will be held on Thursday, March 22 and Friday, March 23, 2012 at the CUNY Graduate Center on 5th Avenue and 34th Street in Manhattan; all conference events are free of charge, and there is no conference registration fee.
On Thursday and Friday the conference will hold concurrent panels of graduate student papers. The conference will also include two workshops, two brown bag seminars, a talk by Lennard J. Davis, a talk by Rachel Adams, a plenary panel discussion with CUNY disability scholars, and a keynote address by Rosemarie Garland-Thomson.
