Bio:

Melissa Flower-Gladney is a Level II PhD student in Theatre and Performance at CUNY. Her research interests center around movement, citizenship, and radical pedagogies. Her publications include “Field Notes from the SITI Summer Workshop” published in TDR this year and a chapter in (M)other Perspectives. Prior to coming to the graduate center, she worked as a director and dramaturg. She also trained throughout her career with SITI Company and has also trained in Toga, Japan with the SCOT Company. She worked for five years as a research assistant to Dr. Richard Schechner and she holds a Masters in Dramaturgy from the University of Houston.
