Alison Puliatte is an elementary school principal at West End School in Lynbrook, NY. She has been in this position since 2006. Prior to West End School, Alison served as the principal of the Lynbrook Kindergarten Center for two years.
She received her PhD in the Educational Psychology Program at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in May 2015. Her research interests include teacher knowledge, teacher practice, and spelling instruction.
Prior to serving as an elementary school principal, Alison was a teacher at a public elementary school in Long Island, NY. She also served as the director of a community education program which provided before and after school programs, Saturday enrichment classes for children, continuing education classes for adults, GED preparation, SAT review and ESL for adults.
When she is not teaching, researching, or writing, you can find her baking, jogging, boating, exploring the bays by kayak and paddle board or making pottery.
