I’ve taken a break over the last week or so from working on my reading list to fill in some of the holes in my Field Research Paper.  As I put that aside before I make further edits and changes and await feedback from my Advisor and reader, I have added some other books that have been sitting on my bookshelf to my list.  Although my reading list is still a bit lighter on participatory democracy and local urban governance, it now feels like I’ve got the most key pieces to my list on my digital shelf now.  The reading list currently stands at 58 items and I am shooting for about 65 before I send it out for my committee members to add their input on.  The last source I want to draw from is a CD from the Child and Youth Participation Resource Guide published by UNICEF.  It’s an annotated bibliography that catalogs children and youth participation resources in four areas, including children involved in political decision making.  The CD contains full-text documents and web links that will make adding these items to my reading list rather easy.  I hope to be finished this phase of putting my reading list together by the end of the week.

Addendum: I just realized I haven’t added items that I’ve already read and are key to my thinking from my thesis.  I might be at 65 items already!
