Borders & Bodies – Nicholas Powers on Apr 26

Please join South Asian Students & Scholars (SASS) and the Polis Project for our Spring 2018 lecture-conversations: ‘Borders & Bodies‘ on Apr 26th at 6pm, in room 5414.
This talk will feature Dr. Nicholas Powers, associate professor at SUNY Old Westbury, and an alum of the Graduate Center. Dr. Powers is a poet, journalist and professor. His first book, Theater of War, was published by Upset Press. He has written for The Indypendent, Alternet and The Village Voice. He teaches literature at SUNY Old Westbury and co-hosts the long running New York City College Poetry Slam at the Nuyorican Cafe.
