bil-word-cloudOn May 23 the New York State  Puerto Rican/Hispanic Task Force issued a letter to Regent Merryl H. Tisch, asking that the Board of Regents implement regulation(s) that would acknowledge validate and reward teachers’ expertise with bilingualism and multiculturalism in New York State.

The letter and much of its content were a result of efforts made by NLERAP-Northeast participants including Dr. Ofelia Garcia and NLERAP Regional Director, Pedro Pedraza.
