Megan B. Welsh, MSW

Welcome to my website. I am a doctoral candidate in Criminal Justice at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, a program which is housed at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

My dissertation is an institutional ethnography of front-line social service workers in the lives of formerly-incarcerated women. I am conducting my research in the Watts neighborhood of South Central Los Angeles, with A New Way of Life Reentry Project, the Public Counsel’s CARES program, and surrounding non-profit organizations and government social service institutions.

You can reach me at mwelsh@jjay.cuny.edu.
