Paragon Paint Building and adjacent properties

26- story residential and 2 low rise. Vernon Blvd. and 45^th Rd.

Pleading hardship as the basis for rezoning and therefore skipping the ULURP, the developer requests bulk and use variances in a case before the Board of Standards and Appeals since Oct. 2015. Across the street is the NY Blood Center that experienced extensive flooding with Sandy. With the required waterfront access corridor, what measures will the developer guarantee to put into place during times of storm surges and sea level rise to close these corridors to protect the upland community from flooding? Inadequate provision of open space. No hearing date set.

This project has a pending BSA hearing in Spring 2018.
