The CUNY Language Documentation and Advocacy Group is looking for singers, pianists, and composers for an art song recital event that features languages that are rarely represented in classical music. We are particularly interested in art songs written in non-conventional art song languages (French, Italian, German, or English), especially in non-European languages. This is a great way for composers to expose their unique art songs to the community, as well as for singers and pianists who are looking to expand their art song repertoire beyond the traditional languages of the classical stage. The event is to be held in the spring of 2010, pending approval from the concert scheduling office. Please contact Jeremy Rafal at jrafal(at)gc(dot)cuny(dot)edu or H. Roz Woll at hrozwoll(at)gmail(dot)com if you are interested in participating in this event.
