Research Associate

Erit Maor is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center in the area of Environmental Psychology.  She earned her BA in Psychology and Social Behavior (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of California, Irvine’s School of Social Ecology.  She went on to pursue a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning in the department of Planning, Policy and Design, also from the University of California, Irvine.  Her Master’s thesis was titled “Place Attachment in Post WWII Suburban Developments: A Comparative Study of Master Planned Community Irvine and Fountain Valley, California” and was completed under the advisement of Dr. Daniel Stokols.  Her current research focus is on restorative environments in urban spaces and emphasizes the transactional relationship between the person and their environment (both social and physical).
