Post-AGU Update

It has been a rather hectic few weeks. It is Fellowship season, job application season, it was the end of the semester, and of course AGU, all sandwiched around the holidays. Oh, and we now have the last of our data, including 14C and Mg/Ca!This is the busy time of year for those of us intent on finishing in the spring. Most fellowship applications are due between 12/1 (LDEO) and 2/1 (Scripps), and require a proposal plus contact with a potential host. In between was the holidays (when many folks, even us academics) take a few days off to travel, see family, and decompress. And in the midst of it all was  the madness of AGU.

I will talk about my AGU talk in a bit, but it went well (and the feedback was terrific). I’ve completed most of my fellowship applications, and the first round of job applications are nearing completion as well. Now the real work begins: writing the article, writing the dissertation, and getting this thesis defended to move on to the next phase – whatever (and wherever) that happens to be!
