Fork & Spoon
7 W 36th St. (north side of the street just west of 5th Ave.)
Lunch only.  Chopped salads, udon, sandwiches, salad bar.  After 3pm their salad bar and their sushi are 1/2 off.  You can load up on salad bar veggies for like $3.  If they try to tell you the sushi is buy-one-get-one-free, just tell ’em you want the one 1/2 off and they’ll do that.  Plenty of seating upstairs.
Oxford Cafe
375 5th Ave. (east side of 5th ave. between 35th and 36th)
Default GC spot with deeply mediocre food.  Healthy options and seating though.
Culture Espresso Bar
72 W 38th St (between 5th & 6th Aves.)
The best cup of coffee around.  Decent salads and sandwiches too.  Independently owned.
