I am a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at the City University of New York Graduate Center.
My main research interests revolve around immigration, immigrants’ work, and issues of immigrant social and economic incorporation. I am also interested in socioeconomic inequality, Latino studies, race and ethnicity, the construction of in-group/out-group boundaries, community and urban studies, and ethnographic and other qualitative methods.
Currently, I am writing my dissertation, teach at CUNY-Brooklyn College and CUNY-Borough of Manhattan Community College, and work as a writing fellow in the Borough of Manhattan Community College Writing-Across-the-Curriculum program.
