This September, student-led fundraising appeals were sent to alumni of the French, English, and Sociology Programs. Any donations raised through these efforts will be target to an upcoming student-organized conference, or student travel and research grants.
If your department has a Program Student Association (PSA), it can now have its own Graduate Center email address. Speak to the DSC Co-Chair for Student Affairs to learn more about how to apply. Among other uses, this email address might be useful in organizing alumni-engagement activities or fundraising.
AFC helped underwrite an Audiology Department alumni-engagement event in May 2015. About a dozen Audiology alumni, half of the department faculty, and a third of the current Audiology Program students attended.
AFC helped students in Comparative Literature, Computer Science, English, French, and Theatre mail or email fundraising appeals to their alumni in support of student travel and research grants.

AFC helped underwrite a “meet & greet” for alumni, students, and faculty from the Theatre Department in fall 2014. Seventy guests were in attendance.
AFC helped underwrite the Philosophy Department’s Alumni Day in fall 2014. Alumna Myrto Mylopoulos was the featured speaker.
