1. Definitions and Policies
1.1. Semesters
A semester shall be defined as the first day of classes through ten business days following the last day of classes, as set by the Graduate Center academic calendar.
1.2. Convening Ad-Hoc Committees
Any voting Board Member may convene a voluntary ad-hoc committee consisting of students in the Criminal Justice Doctoral Program of the Graduate Center at any time during the semester for the purposes of assistance with their required duties.
1.3. Meeting Attendance
Voting members of the CJDSA Board are expected to attend all Board meetings. Any Board Member who misses two consecutive Board Meetings will face an automatic review of their position on the Board at the next convened Board Meeting, with a required vote by the Board on removal of the Board Member in question. Removal of the Board Member in question in this case requires a simple majority vote of the Board.

2. Committees
2.1. Business Committee
2.1.1.  The voting membership of the Business Committee shall consist of the Chair for Business and no fewer than 3 but no more than 5 members drawn from the student body of the Criminal Justice Doctoral Program of the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. The committee shall be chaired by the Chair for Business. Quorum shall consist of one more than half of the voting members of the committee, including the chair.
2.1.2. Duties of the Business Committee include support of the Chair for Business in the completion of duties as outlined in the CJDSA Constitution.

2.2. Teaching and Professional Development Committee
2.2.1. The voting membership of the Teaching and Professional Development Committee shall consist of the Chair for Teaching and Professional Development and no fewer than 3 but no more than 5 members drawn from the student body of the Criminal Justice Doctoral Program of the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. The committee shall be chaired by the Chair for Teaching and Professional Development. Quorum shall consist of one more than half of the voting members of the committee, including the chair.
2.2.2. Duties of the Teaching and Professional Development Committee include support of the Chair for Teaching and Professional Development in the completion of duties as outlined in the CJDSA Constitution.

2.3. Special Projects Committee
2.3.1. The voting membership of the Special Projects Committee shall consist of the CJDSA President and Vice President and no fewer than 3 but no more than 5 members drawn from the student body of the Criminal Justice Doctoral Program of the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. The committee shall be chaired by the CJDSA President. Quorum shall consist of one more than half of the voting members of the committee, including the chair.
2.3.2. Duties of the Special Projects Committee include support of the CJDSA in the completion of duties as outlined in the CJDSA Constitution.
